A Welcome-back Gift

Whenn I got back from my grandma's and Joanie's, (where I stayed for three days) I unpacked and got ready for the next day's Rapids River Food Fest, Ducky races, and even a camping trip in my backyard!
The next day I woke up, and went to go eat a breakfast of a Food Club toaster pastry. After breakfast, my brother and sister went downstairs to play games until Lexie had to go to her Art As You Like it birthday party for her friend Julia. Then I went up, and ate lunch with my pajamas on. My mom told me to go get dressed after lunch, so I went in my room, and listened to my I-pod loud, and watched my least favorite TV show, The Suite Life: On Deck. When I was done with making my bed, and getting dressed, it was allready 5:00. Suddenly, my mom called for dinner. We had hot dogs and chips fpr dinner. After dinner we went to the Food Fest and Ducky Races. There, we waded in the water, and waited for the duckies to start. When they started, it looked like a giant, yellow, bumble bee was floating the water. There were over 1,100 duckies bought! My number was 158, and I was hoping for some luck to get 1-8th place, or last place, which also wins. When the duck names were called, all I remember is, first was number 1028, and last was number 4. Our family didn't win, but we still like to go there every year. After, we went to Dairy Queen for something to eat, instead of the really greasy, fattening food, there. I got a ice cream cup, and Laxie and Evan got chocolate sundaes. We went home after that, and went to go set-up in our tent that we put up after dinner. I got comfortable, and eventually fell asleep after watching Kung Fu Panda, (the movie I hate, and my sister loves) on our portable DVD player. We had a very peaceful night of sleep. (:

Joanie's House

Today I am at my aunt, Joanie's house because my dad is at a meeting in St. Paul, and I wanted to see her again. We did a lot of fun stuff! We went strawberry picking, and I got a wood tick. :X Then we went back home and made strawberry jam. We ate spaghetti for dinner, and later we're going to visit Rachel and Tanya to give them jam. Tommorow I'm having a spa day at Joan's work and I'm going to go see Up with grandma. I will have SO much fun! C U L8r!

My Ruttgers Vacation (Part 3)

We put our cart away after golfing all nine holes. I had mosquito bites everywhere after! We drove back to our villa after, and put on warm clothes for the bonfire, and singer that night. He was a very nice singer, and I really enjoyed him. We fell asleep very peacefully that night.
The next morning we woke up early, ate breakfast in our villa quickly, and packed up to go home. We all hoped in the car, and I watched a movie until we got to Sam and Danni's pet spa to pick up Cira. When we walked in, I told the front desk lady that I was Cira's owner. She immidiately started peeing all over the floor in excitment. (X We put her in the car, and she was just licking everyone in excitment. We drove home with Cira sitting on my lap, and with me thinking about our Ruttgers trip 2010.

My Ruttgers Vacation (Part 2)

We played around for quite some time, and then my mom and brother headed back to the villa to rest. My dad used a yellow fun bug to pull us to the water trampoline to bounce. When we got there, we bounced and I jumped off a few times before we headed back. My dad was very tired by the time he pulled us back to shore. We went swimming in the outdoor pool after, and I practiced my strokes while my sister practiced 'swimming' with her life jacket on. We headed back to our villa and showered off for lunch after swimming. We went to go shopping after that, and I bought a TY stuffed animal for my collection that looked just like my dog Cira, since I missed her so much. We had to drop her off at Sam and Danni's pet spa to stay while we were on vacation. After shopping we went to the sandcastle building contest where we were given a list of things to find to put on our sand castle. We built a shark. After time was up, a judge came around and looked at each creation. I was so mad because one family saw our shark and made their own shark! I was fine though because everyone's sand sculpture beside ours was obviously terrible!He then announced the winners. "3rd place goes to the hammerhead shark, and Ruttger's mascot!" "2nd place goes to the happy camper family for Ruttgers castle!" I was sure we would be first now! "And finally 1st goes to the Ruttgers Lodge creation!" I was so pissed off... Those castles all had to do with Ruttgers, so they automatically won! Aggghhh! All the people that walked by during the contest kept raving that ours was the best and it got their best vote. My whole family was so mad that we got totally robbed in that competition! We went back to our villa after, and got ready for dinner at Zigs again. I got pizza and french fries for dinner that day for a change. After dinner we went to play some tennis with our rackets before going to golf. I drove the cart the whole way without killing anyone! (:

My Ruttgers Vacation

Ruttgers was so much fun this year! After we left we were all anxious to get there after about 10 minutes of driving. I got a little bit carsick too, and mom had to pull down the window for me... When we finally got there, we were prancing and dancing around because we finally arrived at Ruttgers Bay Lake! When we first stepped inside our villa we would be staying in for the next three days we were all awed in how beautiful it was! We knew we would really enjoybour stay. We then unpacked our things and headed off to Zigs for dinner. We got hamburgers and my dad got a mexicana chicken wrap. It was soooooo good! Especially the french fries we got with it! Since it was Father's Day weekend, we got all our food free! After dinner, we went to the lodge gift shop to look around. I decided to get two postcards to write out and send to my grandparents. I thought they would really appreciate that. We then went back to our villa and just relaxed for the next hour or so. Since family bingo was tonight, we headed there. We played many games of regular, BO, Texas T, and four corners bingo games. Then we played blackout bingo. So far my family hadn't won any games, and I thought I would when I had only one space to cover. Instead of calling O-70 like I needed, he called B-10 and a college student won the $321.50 jackpot. ): I was very dissapointed I didn't win, but it was okay. We went back to our villa and all of us drifted to sleep.
The next morning we went straight to the lodge buffet for breakfast. They had every kind of fruit, pastries, cereals, bacon, eggs, omlets, pancakes, and waffles to choose from there. We filled our plates with whatever we wanted and headed to our table to eat. We chattered away while we ate. From the buffet, we went straight back to our villa. We tanned outside waiting for the sun to warm up so we could go swimming. We then got our swimsuits on, and went down to the beach to swim. When we got there we jumped and splashed in the now warm water.

Excited for Ruttgers

Today I am so excited because on Friday we are going to go to Ruttger's Bay Lake Lodge! It will be great there! We get to swim, go golfing, build sandcastles, play beach volleyball, play tennis, go out to eat, tan, go fishing, go boating, have a campfire, have a singer sing to us by the campfire, and even join in on a family bingo night! Ruttgers will be the best vacation of the summer! I am packing right now, the things that I won't use before Friday, because it's only Wednesday today! I can't wait! The only thing that is dissapointing is that Cira, my dog, isn't allowed there. So, she's going to Sam and Danni's pet spa in Sauk Rapids. I thing that place would fit Cira nicely, tee-hee! :D

Monday's Tennis Lessons

Today I had tennis lessons! They are always really fun! We are working on skills still, although I am in the Intermediate classes. We have seven kids in the class, and only two other than me can hit the ball over the net! I mean, I bet these kids didn't even take the beginner, and just skipped to Intermediate! It makes me very angry at times because I always get stuck with the same girl on my team, so I always lose because of her! Well, I will just have to deal with it and hope that the one on one games come soon. I am very good at the one on one games that I play with my mom and brother when I practice. I am hoping that next year we will get some more advanced players to join. I am still having a ton of fun though because tennis is my most favorite sport in the entire world so, it's all good!
